Exhibitions are places of knowledge transfer. But what does that mean in concrete terms? How and under what conditions is knowledge produced? How is knowledge communicated and in what forms? How sustainable is this knowledge? The panel is dedicated to various practices and media of transfer (research, curating, texts, exhibition design, publications, video) and presents experimental approaches to scientific research in the exhibition space and museum context.
Experts who work at the interface of research and exhibition will report on their projects and experiences at Fotomuseum Winterthur, Kunstmuseum Basel and Centre Pompidou, and discuss the scope and challenges that arise from the interplay of theory and practice and the examination of photographic media.
The panel will be held in German and English.
