On Thursday evening, September 11, 2025, a special screening will take place at Kino Bourbaki: At 8:40 p.m., the Museum im Bellpark will present the documentary A House for Lars – A Journey with Cortis & Sonderegger by Barbara B. Peter as part of the current exhibition “Open Studio”.
The film follows the artist duo Jojakim Cortis and Adrian Sonderegger on their journey to Copenhagen to meet director Lars von Trier. In their luggage: miniatures of iconic film sets and von Trier’s own home, which they built on commission for a documentary portrait of the controversial star director.
After the screening, there will be a talk with the artists and the director.
Some of the models are integrated into the exhibition design at the Museum im Bellpark, creating a direct link between film and space. The museum will remain open that evening until 8:15 p.m. – perfect for a combined visit.
