“Resonant Spaces” explores the Spirit of Places: what a space holds, absorbs, and transmits without words. Five photographers present a collective, organic installation where the works engage with the living, sensitive memory of the place.
This exhibition breaks away from the traditional display format: it is built in a shared space, transforming Pyxis into a living, collective body.
The project brings together five professional photographers—Charlotte Aeb, Maria Sarafi, Dana Tirelli, Nella Stücker, and Christina Willimann— for a four-day residency in the Pyxis exhibition space.
Each artist contributes their own works and approaches with the intention of creating a collective site-specific installation in harmony and in tune with the place, where the different works interweave and engage in dialogue.
We envision this exhibition as a co-creation experience, where the place becomes the center of a shared narrative. At its core, the project interrogates what it means to “claim a space” collectively through images, thus allowing the photographs to resonate with Pyxis material and immaterial history.
It will be a moment of living photography—installed, sonic, in motion—at the intersection of image, space, and the sensory.
The opening vernissage will take place on Friday, August 29, 2025, at 6:30 PM. To continue inhabiting and bringing the space to life, a concert by the band “Rencard” will be offered around 9:00 PM, followed by a DJ set by “Lait Et Sukr” starting at 10:00 PM.
