Tonatiuh Ambrosetti, Astra 02, 2024

The exhibition ‘Ti ho regalato un raggio di luce’ brings together a heterogeneous corpus of works created by Tonatiuh Ambrosetti between 2012 and 2024: photographic images, ink drawings and a sculpture are placed in dialogue to develop a reflection on the feeling of vertigo inseparable from any attempt to explore the poles within which human experience is placed: the cosmos and the unconscious, two vastnesses whose boundaries are still unknown and whose parameters are in constant flux.

The measured and essential aspects of the works presented contrast with the lyricism of the title chosen by the artist for this project. This oscillation is also reflected in the formal approach through which Ambrosetti brings his creations to life: sometimes they come about instinctively, almost as a game, in other cases they are the result of technical expedients studied with extreme precision. Common to all the works is the choice of using simple materials to deal with extremely complex themes.

The exhibition is open on Saturdays and Sundays from 14:00 – 18:00.
